George Orwell’s 1984

Adapted by Robert Owens, Wilton E. Hall, Jr.,
and William A. Miles, Jr.

Thursday, September 5, 6pm
Saturday, September 7, 1pm

Buoyed by “misinformation” and “alternative facts,” the current political regime’s attacks on our democratic institutions have thrust George Orwell’s classic dystopian novel, 1984, onto the best seller list once again. This production will investigate Orwell’s 20th-century prophecy in the context of 21st-century America, and ask the question, “Are we there yet?”

For your audition please prepare a brief dramatic monologue.
