Twisted: The Untold Story of a Royal Vizier is a musical with music by A.J. Holmes, lyrics by Kaley McMahon, and book by Matt Lang, Nick Lang, and Eric Kahn Gale. The musical parodies the 1992 Disney film Aladdin , telling the story from the point of view of Ja’far, the Royal Vizier. It has several nods & homages to the musical Wicked, which similarly retells a popular story from the villain’s point of view. *** Twisted is not a show for child actors. It contains mature subject matter and risqué humor.
For your audition:
-Please prepare a 3-minute Disney song and bring sheet music.
-Auditions will also consist of cold readings from the script.

Sherrezade: Ja’far’s one true love, she was once the kind and enchanting storyteller at the palace before her fate was changed.
Prince Achmed: The pompous and flamboyant prince of Pik-zahr whose plans to woo the Princess are foiled by a hilariously unfortunate turn of events.
Past Royal Vizier: Appearing only in flashbacks, he was the cunning royal Vizier many years ago when Ja’far first arrived at the palace.
